About Us

North Leeds is an independent club, run by it’s members, for it’s members and you can be assured of a warm welcome to this very friendly club. Club members have varying levels of bowling expertise from beginners through to club team bowlers and even to that of County level. For those who are competitive, there are several teams to play in. For those who are less so, there are lots of `friendly` games and social bowling is always available.

Our History – How it all began

North Leeds Bowling Club was opened on 23rd April 1921 as an extension to the facilities of North Leeds Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club (founded in 1892).

It became independent of the Cricket Club in 1923. It celebrated its centenary in 2021 and continues to have an active membership and currently competes in 3 leagues within the Leeds area.
